The
chief objectives of the NCSSA are to promote and facilitate
communications among state sociological associations, to share common
concerns and to contribute to the effective development of state
sociological associations. An adjunct objective is to
assist in the establishment of new state sociological associations. The NCSSA also serves as a liaison with the American Sociological Association conveying the interests of state associations to the national organization. NCSSA Annual MeetingOur 2010 ANNUAL MEETING is Monday, August 16 at 6:30 p.m. in the Hilton Hotel at the American Sociological Association Meeting in Atlanta. We don't have a room assignment yet, but we'll post it if we know before the meeting. It will be in the final ASA program at the meeting. The ASA meeting with state and regional officers is scheduled for August 17 at 8:30 a.m., so we're hoping many can attend both. Since the NCSSA is the only independent association of state sociological associations, it is important that as many state associations as possible be represented at our meeting. It is an important meeting as we decide the future direction of the NCSSA as well as elect new officers. Please do consider coming and please also let us know if you have any questions or comments.
